I’m not sure which is my favorite in this amazing selection, but really any of them would do. Willow’s pretty cool (I have always had dreams of rocking a fro), but they all have their own spice. Last spring,…
I have a basics brand break-down for you. Keeping it simple, wearable and comfortable. And don’t worry, we are NOT skimping on aesthetic here…
If our budget was endless and if I wasn’t such a bug out about my kids ripping or dirtying their clothing on a regular day, this is one of the brands for us that would resurface every season to snag fresh looks. Just sayin’. Some great hand-me-down pieces here folks. And everything on their site makes me happy…
It’s all about a good pair of sunnies. At least I think so 😎. And talk about good vibes here 👆🏻! Also, who doesn’t love helping out a small business on Etsy?!…
Snicker-whuut?! SNICKERDOOS. A lovely new little brand that allows your kiddos to dress up - and allows you to still dress them for the day, everyday. Here’s our download on this nifty new brand (and a 20% discount code for your order)…
This feels about right for today. We’re dancing because it is Friday! We’re obsessed with The Happy Self Journal, but until it is available to us in the US (they are currently working on finalizing their American version) we are staying linked with everything The Happy Self provides to get us through our days of parenting. Francesca, the founder of The Happy Self Journal, also shares a lovely Podcast on her site…
Our favorite children’s shop in Manhattan (East Village), An.Me, keeps us current, stylish and happy. It is a must stop when we are trailing through our old hood - especially with Lu + Greer in tow. On our recent trip for some last minute Holiday gifts we snagged cool tie-dye sweatshirts that lovingly read “East Village” along the neckline for each of our girls. We thought ‘of course L + G should be sporting something that has their parent’s old neighborhood on it’! The sweatshirts are created by…
A new (to Bitsy!) brand I love. Fish & Kids. Its easy. Its wearable (comfy for them). Its versatile (like no gender distinction!). It’s a Spanish brand - of course Bitsy loves it! Boys, Girls, Baby. They even have a women’s wear collection - which btw has a lot of the same pieces as the kids collection. So many bonuses here.
We love scouting new brands, sucking the inspo from them and sharing it with you, our readers. Inklings Paperie is one of those brands that makes it so easy for us to share. Not much lead story for me to type here. Truthfully, just take a look at their products. The creativity is epic. We want to be them. Or, at least own all of their products LOL….
A few years back one of my sisters-in-law gifted a pretend cosmetic set to Lucy + Greer. It is a FAVORITE toy! I love it because it takes up literally no room, causes no mess and has given the girls hours of pretend play ideas. They love it because it looks legitimately like real make up, they can create and create and create and they can do it with each other and friends!
Before Lucy started Kindergarten we were dealing with what I like to call the “boo factor”. Lucy would get super scared, spooked watching an episode of Curious George. I ended up sharing this with a dear friend and she suggested we start Family Movie Night. The idea of sitting there and coaching Lucy through a scary bit in a movie as a family sounded perfect. (Secretly, this was one of the things I couldn’t wait to start doing when we started our family.). Taking my friend’s advice, we started with simple movies (steered clear of Disney flicks for a bit) and have worked our way through lots of fun flicks (Lucy even watches Harry Potters now! Yup). This little tradition became a huge hit immediately. The snuggles and family time cannot be beat. My favorite part is…
They love them and get true joy from using one when it rains. We get soaked helping them use them when it rains. The umbrella - the ultimate accessory for kiddos. Recently we picked out a few really cute ones. Hey, if you’re going to get soaked they might as well look super cute, right?! I still have vivid memories from my childhood of pinching myself every. single. time. I went to close my umbrella haha. BUT I still had to have it on a rainy day! Enjoy some of Bitsy’s favorite umbrella picks for kiddos below. (PS - any of these would make a fun stocking stuffer!)…
It’s our favorite and there is a reason. In my Bitsy travels I came across the ultimate children’s outerwear cape company. Yes, capes - classic, sweet, fun to wear. Great for seasonal transitions and adding a fun new silhouette, right?! Well, most of it, but the practicality and comfort level in children’s outerwear capes has never been there. Since Lucy was born I have been attracted to the cape look on little ones. In fact, I crave it and always gravitate towards it. However, since I’ve been dressing my own little ones I realize what a pain in the butt capes can be - for them and for me! My girls always end up choosing not to wear them and I am always bummed to the max. Capes that I bought them in the past would just sit in their closets. The season would come and go and we would log it into the “mom lost” pile. Womp womp. Then I came across…
I have an 8 year old that loves all things travel, art and culture. She gets inspired easily, just like her mama ✋. Watching this bloom I've done the best I can to find cool, interesting, creative outlets for her. Whether it be learning french with our amazing neighbors (more on this later!), creating and learning her own sense of style, or participating in a fun society like the Mr. Boddington’s Secret Society of Letter Writers I’d like to say I’ve got her covered! Check out what Mr. B’s SSLW is all about….
A few weeks ago (back in August) Lucy and Greer were flower girls in Mike’s cousin’s wedding. It was their first time flower girl-ing and boy did they nail it. More importantly, they fully enjoyed every single second of it! I rocked proud mama eyes the whole day. The bride was super…
I know, it’s been a while. And to come back with an article about sleepwear seems meh, but bear with me. Lucy has recently become obsessed with jammies. She likes sets, but also
