Christmas/Eve Table Decor
Our Motivation Monday post is hoping to inspire you for any hosting you will be doing on Christmas/Eve. We got this idea from a favorite blogger, Julie of Swiss Family Gallagher, and have had it tabbed away for about a year in hopes we would be hosting Christmas Eve. Well, this year the holiday is ours and we couldn’t be more excited about our table decor ideas. This super cute theme is easy, classic and so fun for the kids. The energy on Christmas Eve is one of my favorite parts of this holiday, so to expand on that only seems like the most natural thing to do! Our adult table decor is equally as easy and creates a simple elegance for adults to enjoy. Here’s the breakdown for you:
For the kids table we love the idea of a “Santa’s Flight” theme. After all, that is what the Big Guy will be doing that night, right?! Julie from Swiss Family Gallagher posted about this idea on her Instagram account and I fell in love with it. Since Julie lives in Switzerland, I had to create my own resources for the products and have slowly been purchasing as I shop.
Julie’s Table Scape :
Adorable, right?! In order to replicate this, here is what we’ve collected so far:
Mini Reindeer Figurines, Set of 3, $10-
Bottlebrush Christmas Tree, $8-
Paper Map Placemats, $16-
Jingle Bells (pack of 12), $6-
Red Hempstitched Tablecloth, $66-
For our adult table scape we were inspired by Goop (not a surprise at all!):
To mimic this design we plan to use our white cloth napkins. We’ll head to our local florist, show them this image and ask for scraps the same/similar to what is shown here, then buy some twine to tie around each napkin.
A tradition of ours is to finish our place settings off with traditional English Party Crackers (Poppers). In year’s past we’ve also added this fun Christmas Mad Libs to the kid’s table (makes a great stocking stuffer, too!)!
Happy Hosting!
