It is a place where creative individuals can go, set a goal, and find backers to help them make their project come to fruition. Kickstarter typically does not help promote projects, around 40% of projects on Kickstarter succeed. The success of a project on Kickstarter is based almost entirely on social media sharing to help build awareness.
