Don’t Miss the Bus! Bitsy’s Back to School Picks Part 2…

We are always thinking ahead of schedule (it’s part of the job) so we’ve been collecting a great little assortment that we think fits the bill for their first-few-days-of-school style file. This was really easy because we’ve seen so much great product for this coming season. Of course we will have more for you to shop in the upcoming weeks for autumn/winter 2016, but for now, we really think this is a great start. All neutrals so these pieces can carry them through as the weather gets chilly you need to start layering…

Fun fact – with every purchase of The Kane Backpack, State Bags will hand-deliver a State Bag (loaded with essential tools for success) to one American child in need. (Psst – our personal fave is The Kane “Downtown”…it has a little extra spunk to it’s attitude!)

Anyone wear a uniform growing up?! Well, I did and was always so sad to leave my funky, personality-filled knee highs at home. Let us introduce you to Code Socks, a new company in the children’s wear world that is stealing our kiddos’ hearts and feet. Check out the funkiness on the bottom of these white and navy socks! Genius and oh-so-fun – they can still pass the dress code while adding a little bit of their own expression!

back to basics

FINAL BLOG Back to Basics

We. Can’t. Get. Enough.

It is that simple. And Primary.com’s concept is that simple as well. Check it out…

As a parent you are going to say ‘PHEW!’. You may even do a little dance. Heck, you may even want to throw in a “WHOOP WHOOP!”. Primary.com is a company that offers “awesome basics for kids at reasonable prices”. True story. Their clothing is made out of soft, but sturdy fabrics. The colors they offer are simple, yet playful (so they can be paired with anything while also adding a pop of fizz to a look). Quality, simplicity and price are part of their core value proposition. The company was resurrected from 2 moms (Galyn + Christina) with a .com background wanting simple, soft and well-priced kids clothing without graphics and logos all over them (hallelujah!). They state on their site that “in our mother’s day if you couldn’t find what you were looking for, you made it yourself. So, that’s what we did”. Now this is a statement BITSY applauds! Beautifully uncomplicated as they put it – yes, that is how us parents like it. Well done!!

We scooped up a few pieces to test them out and style them (BITSY style – photograph above). Needless to say, we have been very happy with each item. The cotton is super soft and washes perfectly. The stitching is great and the fit is spot on. As we styled (so much fun – the possibilities were endless!) and wore these pieces we couldn’t help but think to keep Primary.com in mind for other purposes as well – think basics for making personalized tees for sports teams, party favors, art projects etc. And, we are definitely going to be hitting this up for back-to-school wear! The prices are so great, you can grab a few of each piece to stock up!

As you can see, they are very thoughtful over at Primary.com. And just when we didn’t think it could get any better it just did. They’ve offered BITSY readers a 25% discount + free shipping off your first purchase as a thank you. Be sure to type in promotional code BITSYSTYLE at checkout.

Welcome to your new “go-to” – PRIMARY.COM.

(They just introduced a new piece – The Baby Romper – so you’ll have to check that out for us!)

Lucy Silhouette Pale Pink

We have missed you quite a bit, but Bitsy has been enjoying our summer vacation very much. We’ve had a lot of fun activities going on – knocking some things off of our bucket list (head here to see the list), a 4th birthday for our #1 inspiration chick (see above + info below) and some great family time.

Get excited because we’re starting to think fall collections and are ready spaghetti to share our finds with you in the upcoming weeks + months! Don’t worry, we will have you geared up for back-to-school, cooler temps + holiday planning. In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine + sandals, the warm temps + sundresses and the shades + culottes!

In other news, this weekend we are headed to Playtime NY and ENK Children’s Club to grab a look at Spring/Summer 2016 collections! Super pumped. As usual, stay tuned!

This year in Lucy’s silhouette she is eating cotton candy. Doesn’t it look delicious?! THANK YOU (once again) to Gina Pasini at aabcdefginaa on Etsy. You knocked it out of the park (or should we say candy store?!)! See for yourself Gina’s beautiful silhouette creations – aabcdefginaa on Etsy.
