as snug as a bug

41 - as snug as a bug...

Many people reach out to Bitsy to ask for baby gift ideas. Of course everyone is looking for something special that parents will appreciate for their detail, but also something that can be practically used.

Here’s your one-stop-shop for a great baby gift…The Snug Bug. Co-founder Heather Hendrixson (an Art Director and Designer of movies) decided to take her talents (along with a team of other inspirational minds) with her into mommy-hood. She started designing swaddle blankets that realistically swaddle a baby. The best part is that they come in inspiring patterns that would make any mom or dad happy to use them. The Snug Bug also offers beautiful bibs, stroller blankets and travel changing mats (waterproof, wipeable & washable – for a 1 month old or 3 year old!) in amazing prints!

The Snug Bug was kind of enough to send Bitsy a sample of their product and we are very, very impressed. The Dress Up Bibs & Burp Cloths are so finely made and can be used on special occasions. They fit a baby very snuggly offering a cute & curvy shape so you don’t have to worry about ruining their Sunday best. The fabrics are soft and sweet. The ribbon that is used on the bibs is also used for wedding dresses and corsets – they really do go to great lengths to create the very best product.

They offer free shipping for US orders on their website. Thesnugbug.com is the place to find everything they make, but you can find them on Etsy and Facebook as well. They also offer registry options for expecting mothers.

Happy shopping + gifting!

Sound/look familiar?! The Snug Bug’s Pinwheels Bib was featured in Bitsy’s “in my Easter bonnet” post on 3.24.14!

Bitsy needs a little vacation and will be coming back from holiday the week after Easter. While on our travels we hope to collect some great new finds to share with you upon our arrival back during the remainder of spring and early summer…

Until then, keep that SPRING in your step + we’ll see you in a few!

oui, oui, wee, wee!

Bitsy loves to be inspired, especially when a brand or shop has a similar understanding for all things special. You can tell when something happens because the person behind it has a passion – and we love that.

Please, let us introduce you to Wee Mondine. A delicate children’s online atelier in its foundation, yet with so many exciting pieces completing its construction. It all started when a mother of two found a desire to understand the market for her daughters’ wardrobes. She went about her travels (literally) in search of beautiful and timeless children’s wear that also shares an element of fun to a child’s day-to-day lifestyle (aka play time!). Wee Mondine has a similar appreciation for all things lovely, but also contributes to reality (since – let’s be honest – we all know we’re not always buying hand-me-down pieces!). They search intricately from Los Angeles to Tel Aviv to hand pick the best-of-the-best in children’s wear and share it with us! After spending time with the inspiring Wee Mondine team I quickly came to realize that they not only understand quality designs and production, but they share every ounce of their passion with their customers…and its addicting!

You need to check out this shop – it will make you happy, I promise!

Of course Bitsy snagged a few shots of our favorites to share with you…Enjoy!
